With a focus on a musicality and coordination, Markéta’s ballet classes are designed for participants to tap into their feel good factor, warming up to their day with enjoyment and confidence.
A native of Ostrava, Markéta graduated from the local Janáček Conservatory and subsequently worked at the Moravian-Silesian National Theatre, where she became a soloist in 2010. She danced in many leading ballets, such as The Nutcracker, Cinderella and Swan Lake and received a nomination for the Thalia Award for her role as Odette/Odilia.
Since 2015, she has been engaged in Les Ballets de Monte-Carlo, where under the direction of the director and choreographer Jean-Christophe Maillot, she danced in Le Songe, La Belle, Cendrillon, Casse-Noisette Compagnie, La Mégère apprivoisée, Altro Canto, Choré or in the works of other world-famous choreographers, e.g. Jiří Kylián and Mats Ek.
As from September 2020 Markéta has been based in Prague as a freelance dancer and ballet teacher, regularly engaged in the Czech Republic, whilst also working with Ballet Am Rhein and Ballet National du Rhin. Amongst these activities, Markéta has taken up the role of ballet master at DJKT.
