Yasmin was born in Indonesia in 1995. Growing up in Bali, she did not have many opportunities to explore dance, and at age 16 she left home to live in a small dance conservatory outside Los Angeles with the director Deborah Brockus and many highly-qualified teachers, including Lillian Barbeito, co-founder of BODYTRAFFIC. She finished high school online while dancing full-time. In 2013, before starting university, she attended Jacob's Pillow for a summer course. In the fall of 2013, she began her dance studies at Codarts, University of the Arts in Rotterdam, Netherlands. During this time she worked with such choreographers as Juango Arques, Amos Ben-Tal, Stephen Shropshire and Jiří Kylián, and toured around the Netherlands. Yasmin finished a one-year internship at Scapino Ballet Rotterdam under the direction of Ed Wubbe. She got the chance to work with new upcoming choreographers like Marcos Morau and Felix Landerer. In the summer of 2017, she graduated from Codarts with a Bachelor's degree in dance. Yasmin joined ŻfinMalta in 2017.
